Investment Strategy

The Pender Corporate Bond Fund is consistent with Pender's overarching objectives of capital preservation, income and low volatility relative to comparable funds.

The strategy of Pender Corporate Bond Fund is to find undervalued fixed income opportunities using a fundamental bottom-up approach to investing, as opposed to a relative value approach used by most bond managers.

We are focused on finding investments we can understand and which generate, or have the potential to generate, significant free cash flow.

By exercising this discipline we can take advantage of inefficiencies in fixed income markets, where many investors place too much reliance on the rating agencies.
