Investment Strategy

PenderFund Capital Management is a value-based, forward thinking fund manager with expertise in identifying investment opportunities in undervalued companies with the potential for significant capital appreciation.

Our goal is to create value for our investors through calculated investments in a concentrated portfolio of companies that we know and understand. We perform a rigorous bottom-up analysis of all prospective investment opportunities. We often track companies for several years before we invest.

Once we have made an investment we believe that remaining active managers of the investment, through our high level of rolling due diligence, is the best way to create value and decrease risk.

Pender was founded in 2003 and is currently the Manager of Pender Corporate Bond Fund, Pender Growth Fund and the Pender Small Cap Opportunities Fund.
