David Blyth

David Blyth joined Pender in March 2022 as Director of Institutional Sales. 

David is a seasoned industry professional with over 20 years of experience managing institutional and consultant relationships across Canada, including at pension plans, endowments and foundations, and family offices. David joins us from one of Canada’s largest non-bank commercial/industrial mortgage lenders, where he led its institutional business team. 

Prior to that, David was VP & Director, Institutional Relationships at a leading Canadian asset management firm, where he was responsible for institutional client relationships across alternative, fixed income and equity products. He oversaw the firm’s insurance platform business, including product distribution through defined benefit – investment only plans or channels (DBIO), mutual funds and defined contribution channels.

David began his career in business development, consultant relations and client servicing for a global investment firm in Canada, where he represented the firm’s 16 investment management boutiques.

David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Outside of the office, David enjoys fitness, golf and hockey as well as relaxing with a good book and a great meal.
