After such a challenging year in so many ways, Pender marked the holiday season by making donations to Food Banks Canada and Canadian Mental Health Association locations in the key regions in which we operate.

Pender was a proud supporter of the 2020 CAN Pro-Am Hockey Tournament held in support of the Canucks Autism Network.

On Sunday July 14 2019, Ian Collins and Eric Tse participated in The Rotary Club of Vancouver's Annual Bike-A-Thon. They rode 115km, from Burnaby to Harrison Hot Springs, to raise awareness and money for the Vancouver Hearing Foundation.

For the 5th year running, Pender has sponsored the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ride Don’t Hide fund raising event. The Pender team took part in Canada's largest 10k road race on April 14, 2019. Despite the unexpected hail, Team Pender took part "to encourage community spirit, healthy living and fitness". Congratulations to all who took part in the race.  

At Pender, we are passionate about attracting and advancing women in our industry. We are happy to wear purple to mark International Womens Day 2019 and show our support for advancing gender diversity in the workplace and society as a whole.

Pender once again sponsored and supported the Ride Don't Hide event in Vancouver to support CMHA's  drive to build "awareness, inclusion and acceptance" of mental health issues in Canada. According to their website, two thirds of people with mental illness do not access help including children and youth.

Pender's cycling team once again tackled the two day course from Vancouver to Seattle, raising money for ongoing research into cancer diagnosis and treatment at the BC Cancer Foundation.
