Rita Silvan, CIM

Rita Silvan is Director, Content Strategy at Pender where she produces media communications including thought leadership and investor education articles, podcasts, and other public facing content.

Rita has over 30 years’ senior-level experience as a writer and content creator encompassing consumer magazine journalism and book publishing, TV, and podcasting. She is the former editor-in-chief of ELLE Canada which she launched in 2000. Her work has appeared in numerous outlets including The Globe and Mail, Benefits & Pensions Monitor, The Toronto Star, RBC-Inspired Investor, Tangerine Bank-Forward Thinking, Canadian Moneysaver, Sonnet Insurance, ELLE Canada, and others. She has an interest in improving women’s finances and writes about investing and personal finance for women on her personal blog, ellesworth.ca.

Rita earned her Chartered Investment Manager designation (CIM) from the Canadian Securities Institute, and B.Sc from the University of Toronto.
